DAY 11: WHERE DID THIS NOIISE COME FROM? (part two)

An expressive image of a person thinking on his company

I am Bengain, and this is not my real name. I haven't found anyone to talk about my journey in the world of business with, so here I am. and the story is [here]..

Good evening.. How was your day?.. I believe that the belly is one of the most contradictory things in life! (Smiles).. When you want to sleep, sit, wear clothes, or engage in any activity, it becomes the most uncomfortable thing to accompany you. But when you want to sit and browse on your phone, or even have a cup of tea, it becomes one of the most important additions you will use!.. But the truth is, I must get rid of it.. A few months ago, a small belly appeared to me.. I have become fond of food, and this is a dangerous! and enjoyable thing at the same time!.. I don't know whether I should get rid of it now or keep it with me.. The belly gives you a sense of reassurance in case of hunger.. It also makes you feel like you have evolved more than your peers to face certain circumstances! (Smiles)

What do you think about continuing what we started yesterday? Let's continue,

Yesterday (DAY10), we discussed how the idea of the project started in my mind from the beginning of the diploma stage until the end of the bachelor's stage. And we said that I came up with the following conclusions:

Most students do not master English.

Most students did not have enough time to learn and understand the subjects correctly.

Engineers are forced to continue learning to excel in their work.

Engineers, especially those on-site, do not have enough time to balance work and learning.

Most engineers do not speak English fluently.

Let's continue.. Here, a question came to my mind: What could happen as a result of an engineer not mastering the required work?!.. This is the most dangerous part. Any mistake in engineering work can cause a real disaster! And this depends on each engineer individually and their desire to learn and sacrifice by putting in extra effort.. This is a significant risk!

I don't want to dwell any longer on the reasons and motivations because there are many evidences and data that supported this need (the need for scientific materials in our mother tongue for civil engineering, as we mentioned in the previous article), such as the change in the economic situation, weak legislative oversight, the cost of obtaining scientific materials, and so on.. From here, my conviction in the importance of having scientific materials in our language and available to civil engineers has been growing.. and this is where I started taking the idea seriously!

I completed my studies and then started looking for work. The market was completely saturated, and construction projects were almost at a standstill. I would visit companies and offices and find everyone just sitting there doing nothing.. even companies whose projects were worth millions!

To support myself, I worked in a security and protection company as a CCTV operator (I had previous experience in this field). During that time, I was torn between two decisions: either defend my idea or set it aside. After three months, I made the decision to resign and start working on my project. My goal was to provide reliable scientific materials in our language to engineers on construction sites, saving them time in learning and understanding the necessary subjects, and reducing the potential margin of error in execution.. And that's where it all began!

During the three months and even in the early months of my work on the project, I still felt the pulse of the idea and those around me noticed it too. However, no one paid much attention to it!

I started working without any previous experience or knowledge of what I should do.. You know, life doesn't always allow you to be yourself!.. I was enjoying it very much.. and I still am.. I started learning little by little, and the idea began to evolve gradually. I began to understand the world of business, how companies are built, how ideas are developed.. It took me about two and a half years to produce the first article, or what is known in the business world as the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) (we discussed this concept on the DAY4).

You may be thinking that two and a half years to produce an article is a long time.. but there are several reasons for that. Firstly, I had no experience in either scientific writing or building a business, so I had to learn both of them well. Secondly, the idea itself evolved over time and did not remain in its original form. Thirdly, in the business world, we try to build a system for product production, not just the product itself. We constantly test and improve it until it reaches a stable state to ensure consistent results. Fourthly, during my learning process, I made many mistakes that required me to redo and correct them each time. And fifthly, the process of scientific writing and research itself takes time. And sixthly, it's one of the problems I'm currently working on solving, which is that I am one of those who seek perfection in the things they do (I would like to discuss this later because I believe there is a widespread misconception about it, and I have my own perspective on it!).

Here, I want to mention something that those outside the world of startups may not know, and I discussed it in the first two articles (DAY1 and DAY2). Ideas are not ready to become direct businesses, but rather they are just general concepts that are theoretically applicable. They need to be developed, tested, and constantly reformulated until they reach a stage where they can be transformed into a commercial venture. This process takes time and effort, but it is necessary. It is different from the second point I mentioned, which is that the idea itself changes and evolves.

After launching the first article and observing the reactions and results of the assumptions we made, most of which were positive, a significant transformation occurred in the project.. When I was building the system for the project, I wasn't just building it for producing articles, but I was building it based on some larger assumptions in my mind. These assumptions relate to potential opportunities that have much greater financial feasibility and moral value than the idea of producing articles. Here, I had to choose between two options: either continue writing articles as originally planned, or move towards these opportunities, which is a great risk that may not present itself again!.. Yes, I did it! (Smiles)

I believe you now have a good idea of what I do and where all this buzz comes from! (Smiles)

It may seem exhausting to you, and in reality, it is, but it's also an equally enjoyable experience!

Sleeping is also an equally enjoyable experience (Smiles),

I hope you always stay in good health. See you tomorrow,

Good night,
