DAY 14: THE FIRST DRAFT OF ANYTHING IS SHIT!

I am Bengain, and this is not my real name. I haven't found anyone to talk about my journey in the world of business with, so here I am. and the story is [here]..

Good evening.. How was your day?.. The American writer Ernest Hemingway once said: "The first draft of anything is anything is shit ". Yesterday, after finishing my article, I was browsing through the rest of the articles on the blog. At that moment, I felt that they could be written in a better way. Even the ideas themselves could be presented and addressed in a better way.. But I believe I'm doing a decent job to some extent, don't you think! (smiling)

I don't know if you have previous experiences in writing, but in writing, the first draft is usually considered unfit for publishing; its purpose is simply to get the ideas out of your head onto paper and try to build a general conception of what the text could be, then later it is edited and refined several times to finally come out as the writer wants.. more accurately, closer to what the writer wants because you always find something that needs improvement.. Hemingway himself rewrote the conclusion of "A Farewell to Arms" 47 times!.. It's not just writing, almost anything's first version goes through the same!

The articles you are currently seeing on the blog are actually the first drafts, and this is a challenge for me, as I try to make communication through them as effective as possible.. And of course, to achieve the blog's purpose. But that is not always smooth sailing. Sometimes the flow of ideas can suddenly stop. Sometimes someone might interrupt you. Sometimes you may find that the text is not coherent or the idea is not presented in a cohesive manner, so you have to rewrite.. It also happens that you start discussing a topic and then realize that your idea is not as clear as you thought in your mind!

Writing every day is also not easy, as you need a new topic every day. You also need the text to be directly from your thoughts and experiences without referring back to sources or references because that will take more time.. Speaking of time, imagine all that has to be done within an hour!.. To be honest with you, some articles take more than that for me to feel they are somewhat acceptable for publishing.. Some take more than two hours even!

But it's an enjoyable activity.. I fundamentally enjoy writing, and this has allowed me to practice it every day.. I think it was a good decision to keep this up until the end of the day.. Did you know there is something called "writing therapy," where writing scientifically helps improve people's mental health.. Some people might need to write a whole library for it to have an impact on them! (smiling)

I also believe that texts are better in the blog than images.. I don't like the images and feel like I need to change them.. They aren't cohesive and don't present a clear identity.. I think if there was a specific style or pattern, the blog would be more beautiful.. Wait, I need to add that to the notes.. I also think there are some improvements that need to be made to the blog.. I had planned that by the end of the year -if we're still alive- I will review the blog and everything related to it.. I think I have now confirmed that decision!

And now, there is another decision I have also made.. In fact, I made it since midday (smiling).. And that is that I am very hungry and want to have lunch!

Some decisions are important.. and some are very important (smiling)

Our conversation was light tonight.. I hope you always stay well,
and have a good night,
